About Us

Sparkle Fund is a new-age Alternative Investment Fund that seeks out opportunities to back entrepreneurs that have incredible ideas, with appropriate funding. As a SEBI-registered AIF, Sparkle Fund was launched in 2017 and our first scheme was incorporated in April 2019.

We invest in early-stage start-ups and fintech companies that demonstrate the potential to deliver solutions that create innovative products for the financial sector or expand markets through tech that address challenges.

Being committed to social, environmental, and corporate governance investing, we seek out like-minded management, with competent and passionate teams, for our investments.

Shivashish Chatterjee, Co-founder DMI Group

A 25-year veteran of international financial markets, Shivashish Chatterjee brings a wealth of experience in Global Fixed-Income trading and analytics that complements and informs DMI’s activities. Shivashish Chatterjee spent most of his Wall Street days at Salomon Brothers, a storied fixed-income powerhouse that was eventually acquired by Citigroup Inc.

He graduated from Harvard University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Magna Cum Laude in Applied Mathematics.

Yuvraja C. Singh, Co-founder DMI Group

Yuvraja C. Singh brings over two decades of experience in finance to his role, with expertise in fixed income structuring, trading, and risk management. He began his career in the risk management department at Commodities Corporation, a leading commodity, and futures trading firm, now a part of Goldman Sachs.

He is a graduate of Princeton University’s class of 1994, with a B.A. in Economics.

Bina Singh, Non-executive Director DMI Group responsible for CSR initiatives

After living in the United States for many years Bina Singh moved back to India and started a –non-profit organization with some friends for community development. She has been a member of the Delhi Commission for Women, Delhi Juvenile Board, and Delhi Social Welfare Board.

She was the first woman to graduate in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi in 1968.

Chandan Kumar Chatterjee, veteran of the telecom industry

With 59+ years of experience, Chandan Kumar Chatterjee had joined the erstwhile P & T Department (now the Department of Telecom) in 1965. In 1993, he got absorbed in the Public Sector Undertaking- Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL.) From March 1995 to May 1998, he was the director of Orange Telecom Software (OTS), The Hague, The Netherlands, on deputation from TCIL.

In 1998 he set-up IN Net IT & Telecom India Private Limited. Under his company, he started the online shopping mall kmth.com (a.k.a. kyamangtahai.com), services of which were closed in 2002.

He completed his B.Sc. from Gorakhpur University in 1960 and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering in 1963. from the University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee).

Paromita Chatterjee, Entrepreneur & Japanese Linguist

With 25+ years’ experience in the services sector, Paromita Chatterjee has worked across the airlines and IT & ITeS industries, moving on to join Japan Tsunagari in 2011 with a vision of helping Indian and Japanese MSMEs connect to the global market and expand their businesses.

She graduated from Jawaharlal Nehru University in 1996 with a BA in Japanese, and holds an Executive MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

Medha Kochhar Singh, a keen social activist

Medha Kocchar Singh has a keen interest in the financial services sector. She worked with Standard Chartered Bank during the period 2000-2002. After living in the United States for many years she moved back to India and has been involved in various social activities. She has played an important part in the overall journey of the DMI group since its inception.

She graduated from NYU Stern School of Business, USA in 2000.
